Katie Fisher Burns

Katie has clocked up over 25 years of experience across music, radio and television and has a strong passion for content.

Starting in the music industry in promotions and marketing roles, she shifted into radio production going on to become the youngest and first female programme director at Auckland's 95bFM.

Katie made the transition to television with a move to Sky TV where she was part of developing a specialised publicity area, capable of catering to international studio needs and requirements.

She then moved into the digital space, working on the launch of New Zealand’s first local SVOD service (NEON) and this is where she found her passion in streaming.

She furthered her online speciality by setting up an in-house PR area at SVOD business Lightbox, accepting a position in their leadership team and utilising her extensive streaming knowledge to help on-sell the platform.

An accomplished PR and communications expert, Katie has strong relationships with New Zealand media and international studios alongside vast experience in all aspects of content publicity. A master of talent tours, an event manager extraordinaire, Katie’s creativity has set her aside in this territory. She currently works as a freelance content specialist.

For The Public Good, Katie is the PR lead for Amazon Prime Video’s content in New Zealand and has also recently managed the publicity campaigns for Sik Fan Lah!, 2022 and 2023 French Film Festival Aotearoa, The Wiggles 2022 and 2023 NZ tours and their ‘OG’ tour, the acclaimed feature documentary Whetū Mārama, and the 2021 return of award-winning children’s series Kiri & Lou.

Raegen Houldridge

Raegen has film and television in her blood, following in the footsteps of her mother, who held senior positions in marketing in the television industry in Australia and New Zealand. She began her career in publicity with roles at Network 10 and Hoyts Fox Columbia Tri-Star where her passion for publicity was formed.

She moved to New Zealand over 30 years ago, where she took on her first stint as Senior Publicist for New Zealand’s longest running drama series, Shortland Street, responsible for seeing the show through its first major milestone – the fifth anniversary, as well as managing the corporate communications for the production company, South Pacific Pictures and unit publicity on various other productions when required.

After just over five years in this role, she was recruited as Head of Publicity for TV One, running the team responsible for the publicity efforts across all local and international drama, local, factual and news and current affairs programming.

Raegen was then head-hunted to take on the role of Head of Publicity for the newly-formed TV3, responsible for the publicity team’s efforts for the network, its international and local programming, including news and current affairs, as well as the launch of music channel C4. She was responsible for the local programme launches of iconic local shows such as The Strip, Being Eve and Bro’Town, to name a few.

After six years in this role, Raegen took a break from the world of publicity and went on to forge a successful career as a freelancer in Event Management, managing many high-profile events in the charity arena.

Missing the buzz of television, Raegen was then asked to cover maternity leave back at Shortland Street, an opportunity she jumped at. Following an internal promotion, Raegen went on to hold the role of Senior Publicist at South Pacific Pictures for a further eight years, managing the campaigns for Shortland Street’s 25th and 30th Anniversaries, the profiles of its cast, as well as some of the most dramatic cliffhangers in the show’s history.

Following her departure from South Pacific Pictures at the end of 2023 she has moved into the freelance arena, collaborating with clients Shanahan Management and Sky channel Country TV.

For The Public Good, Raegen has recently managed the publicity campaign for the New Zealand film release of The Moon Is Upside Down, profile publicity for athlete and key-note speaker Freddie Bennett and launch events for the local drama series Friends Like Her and Dark City: The Cleaner.

Rose Swale

Rose began her TV publicity career by volunteering to work for free and train under Tamar at South Pacific Pictures in 2006 (on television productions including NZ Idol and Outrageous Fortune to name a few) ... She was on the payroll two days later.

Since then she's garnered more than 16 years of experience working across network and unit production, in both Australia (for Network Ten)  and New Zealand (for South Pacific Pictures, Sky TV and more recently a five+ year stint  - her second - at Three).

Rose is one of the leading publicity and communications strategists in the local television and entertainment industry and has a particular head (through years of trial-by-fire experience) for reality TV, as well as a passion for drama, entertainment and comedy.

For The Public Good, Rose leads the agency’s publicity support services for Sky NZ and has managed the PR campaigns for the 2022 and 2023 Mānawatia a Matariki national broadcast, season one and two of The Poo Files, and Waiata Anthems 2023. She has previously worked on the local release campaigns for the 2021 French Film Festival Aotearoa, Loading Docs 2021 and 2022, the inaugural M9 Aotearoa and the NZ International Film Festival season of Milked.
